Holiday 2021 Pinot Noir offering
Thank you to all you who have supported me during these last 18 months of the pandemic. I could not have made it through without you! Two Pinot Noirs for your holiday (and beyond) enjoyment:
2018 The Shop Carneros Pinot Noir: 2018 was an easy vintage compared to 2017. Less heat, less fire. Early on, my 2018 Pinot Noirs were a bit slow to reveal themselves but they are really blossoming now. So much so that all my other 2018 Pinots are sold out! As always, The Shop is a blend of oak and concrete aged wines, and is one of my most user friendly offerings--fruity, a little bigger, and easy to like, but with a little structure and gravity.
2019 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir: 2019 had the makings of a difficult growing season. We had a very dry winter, eased somewhat by some late spring rains and mild weather during the season. Like 2017 and 2018, when evaluating the various Sonoma Coast Pinot lots I had in the cellar the best wine came from blending them all together rather than making single vineyard bottlings. So that's what I did, in the spirit of making the best wine possible. The 2019 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir has some of the best qualities of my two main fruit sources--spice and structure from Hirsch and juiciness and energy from the Barlow Homestead.
This offer is good from now through the end of the year. Order a case of 6 bottles of each wine, and the price will be $292.50, a 25% discount. Shipping will be included. Please order by the end of November for Christmas delivery, as I will be using temperature controlled shipping to many parts of the country in case of wintry weather, and this method requires a longer lead time than regular shipping. After the holiday offer closes, the wines will be available separately. Happy Holidays!
