In 2022 I began picking a small portion of The Shop specifically for Rose. Lower sugar and higher acid, less ripe flavors. Not suitable for red wine but ideal for Rosé. Then, as the red wine fruit started coming in, I drew off a little of the juice from each fermenter to augment the juice I had pressed from the earlier picked grapes, thinking that this mix of riper and less ripe juice would give me the best of both worlds. It worked. My 2023 is perhaps a little more generous than the 2022 or 2021, but it is so juicy and yummy that it's hard to resist! It is fermented with naturally occurring yeast in neutral oak barrels, where it stays until I bring it up to tank in January to prepare it for bottling, As usual there is only a little bit so don't sit on this too long. Priced to enjoy at $20/bottle. Shipping is included on orders of 12 bottles or more.
