IPNC 2017
The International Pinot Noir Celebration is the grandaddy of all Pinot Noir events here in the US. It takes place July 28-30 in McMinnville Oregon, and features all manner of Pinot Noir-centric food, thought and of course wines to sample. In addition to pouring my wines I'll be featured on a panel, as part of the University of Pinot, called "The New Traditionalists" at which time I'll offer up my thoughts on what kind of winemaking traditions I am currently pursuing and where I hope to end up by the time I hang it up and stop making wine. To illustrate some of my points I'll present an as yet unreleased Pinot Noir called "El Galpon," a small batch that I aged entirely in concrete. It's a popular event and tickets go fast so if you want to go and have not already signed up, don't delay! More information can be found at www.IPNC.org.
